EDUCATE

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” —Maimonides

The vision of our schools is to uplift young children out of hopeless poverty, to feed the bodies and minds of the youngest and most vulnerable children and to give them hope and a brighter future.

The Angel Kindergartens and The Good Samaritan School provide high quality education for children aged 2 - 16 that live in or around the Kibera informal settlement, as well as providing specialist classes and care for physically challenged children and children with hearing difficulties.

FEED

“If you can't feed one hundred people, then just feed one.” —Mother Theresa

This is the quote that lay the foundations for our organisation. Every Saturday we feed 450 vulnerable children in the heart of the Kibera informal settlement, and have done so for the past 16 years.

The right to food is a basic human right and we believe every child should have enough food to fuel their bodies and imagination.

SUPPORT

“Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others” —Booker T. Washington

Our extreme need fund provides emergency provision to children and families in Kibera.

During lockdown, one of our students fell into a pan of hot oil at home and had to be rushed to hospital. Our extreme need fund meant she was able to access specialist care quickly and has made a wonderful recovery.
