WILD WOODS
WILDWOODS III (2010)
In May 2010 we held the 3rd WildWoods event on Wimbledon Common, it was attended by over 200 children and almost as many adults. Although it was one of the hottest days of the year, an enormous amount of fun was had by all. The troopers had to follow a course using only a compass, along the way they had the opportunity to experience erecting tents and poncho shelters as used by The Army, learn, how to tie various knots and basic first aid. They had to overcome scramble nets, log bridges, rope swings, rope climbs and a serious amount of mud!!!! The sausage in a roll at the end was well earned. All this fun helped to raise over £1500 to help change the lives of the children on The Kibera Slum. A massive THANK YOU to all who attended and the amazing team who gave so much time a effort to make the event such a success. Please look under Forthcoming Events for details of WILDWOODS IV.
