The Kings Rugby Develpment Academy K.D.R.A is a beacon of hope for the boys and girls of Kibera and a route out of extreme poverty through sport and education.
The aim of K.R.D.A is to teach positive life skills and aid the development of the whole person; physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially and spiritually. We provide healthy role models via positive coaching and peer relationships, providing an alternative for the youth of Kibera to avoid the descent into antisocial behaviour. The children are trained every Sunday by a roster of 30 IRB world rugby certified coaches and facilitators.
Every child receives a nutritious meal and drink provided by The Lunchbowl Network.
K.R.D.A provides 250 of the poorest children from Kibera the opportunity to create a brighter future.
Our principle aim is to lift the youth of Kibera out of hopeless poverty and to provide them with the opportunity to see their individual worth and fulfil their potential.
